Don’t Be Seduced by Internet Marketing tricks Lesson 1 – The Sales Funnel

As you’ve probably guessed I have fallen for a few gimmicks online, promising wonderful things only to be left disappointed again!

There’s plenty of sneaky things marketers create to get to to buy their products or sign up to their business. Most of them are totally legal, but some aren’t as ethical as others.

When I first started out I was looking for an online home business opportunity. I came across many with the same sorts of promises and all were using the same sorts of techniques.

Here are the tricks they use to attract you. This will hopefully help you separate the genuine marketers and opoportunities from the dodgy ones.

Your first lesson is about the SALES FUNNEL:

Many websites you come across are SSSSOOOOOO long and there’s a reason for this, but first let me explain. They are written by PROFESSIONAL COPYWRITERS. Some are paid thousands of dollars just to get them right.

The reason these copywriters are paid so much is because their pages are so seductive. The good ones can convince us to buy just about anything without us even realising we’re being SOLD TO!

They’ll make you think their product or opportunity will solve all your problems. Their writing will attempt to pull at your heart strings and hook you in. They also show you lots of people who have bought the product already, which some of them I find a bit hard to believe.

You go into a bit of a trance just filtering down the page absorbing all the sales hype until you reach the bottom and find yourself reaching for your wallet.
