Lucid dreams are one of the most fascinating things which you can experience. These are dreams which you can take control and decide what will happen. In lucid dreams, you know that you are dreaming, which is why you are in charge of the dream; and anything that you want to make part of your dream is yours to have.

Lucid dreaming offers you the opportunity to be in the director\’s chair for what is essentially your own movie. Anything you\’ve ever wanted to see is possible when lucid dreaming. The only limit is your own creativity.

Unlike the dreams you normally have while you sleep, lucid dreams do not simply drift along on their own course. Dreaming is usually your brain\’s way of thinking out the events of the previous day and there\’s not much you can do to predict or change their course. Lucid dreams are very different in that your conscious mind is in control of the experience and these dreams seem entirely real, no matter what you decide to make happen.

One way to tell the difference between a regular dream and a lucid dream is to try picking up a book or newspaper in your dream. If you can read the words there and make sense of them, then this is almost certainly a lucid dream. In most dreams, you\’d be unable to read the words on the page; they will either keep changing or be impossible to read at all.

When youre lucid dreaming, anything you imagine is possible. You can live out any fantasy you have, meet anyone you want and go anywhere.

If you don\’t like the way that a lucid dream is going, you can always turn things around. You can even relief events from your own life and make them turn out in a better way; many people find that this is one of the benefits of lucid dreaming that can help them to work through some things in their lives.

Anyone can learn to have lucid dreams. Your body needs to rest of course so that you can awake refreshed and energetic enough to take on the tasks of the day; but while your body is at rest, your mind can stay partially active and engage in lucid dreaming.

You will need to put in some practice in order to be able to have lucid dreams whenever you want. Anyone can learn, but it takes a little time, so stick with it and be patient.

Starting a dream diary is a good way to start learning to lucid dream. When you awake from a dream, write down everything you can remember. In the ’80s, the United Negro College Fund ran a series of television and radio spots with the slogan ‘A mind is a terrible thing to waste.’ That slogan goes beyond getting minorities into colleges, and on to every day life. Your mind is the most powerful tool you have to create the life you want.

Touching on this is the power of The Secret. Millions have bought the book, more than that have watched the movie, and by now, the Internet is flooded with people trying to get you to believe in the Law of Attraction, which is that principle laid bare. Whatever you think about in your attitudes will manifest itself in your life, and that includes what happens when you aren’t paying attention to your attitude, too. It works whether you want it to or not.

In the medical world, this is known as the Placebo Effect; people who are told they’re taking a medicine will get the benefits of that medicine even if they’re given a sugar pill. This happens about 40% of the time and is something clinical trials have to correct for. Similarly, the adage of ‘Mind Over Matter’ holds some credence as well. This is how you\’ve seen people think themselves sick, or think themselves well.

While the singular of data is not anecdote, there is some direct experience you’ve had. How many times have you woken up in the morning thinking this was going to be a bad day, or ‘one of those days’. And then had a self-fulfilling prophecy? Welcome to the Law of Attraction on a personal scale. It’s your own mind and your own expectations sabotaging you.

Quantum mechanics talks about the ‘observer effect’ and how information in the system alters the outcomes. While the link between quantum mechanics and The Secret is tenuous, the same guiding principle applies to the Law of Attraction. Your ability to observe the universe alters it.

Some of the more fringe scientific studies are trying to link this observer effect to thinks like remote viewing, telepathy, and other ’supernatural’ powers. An even greater extension is that everything we see, feel and hear; all of our sensory inputs, may well be something ’stitched together’ into a narrative by our minds. On the extreme end, this leads to solipsism, the belief that nothing is real until you observe it, and the question of ‘If a tree falls in the woods, and nobody’s around, does it make any sound?’

Although you may not even have considered it before; learning how to use the power of your mind is vitally important to having a great life! Obviously it is better to have your assets working for you instead of working against you. Let’s take a closer look at how to use the power of your mind to achieve what you want.

The Law of Attraction is all about goal visualization. You need to define a concrete, clear goal. Don’t wish for a lot of money; set a goal aside for a certain amount of money, and set reachable, achievable daily goals. Next, try to direct every mental action you take towards achieving that goal, and pull yourself away from distracting influences. Keep that effort constant. Try to clear your mind of the usual pattern of thirty different thoughts running at once.

The sign of someone who’s goal focused is that they’re very driven. They work each and every moment towards some goal, rather than frittering their time away in unstructured pursuits. When they’re working on a goal, they’re driving towards it, rather than do it a little bit, then get distracted by something else. This puts the full power of their mind on the goal, and every little step helps further it. It’s one of those things that’s so difficult because it’s simple. People expect life changing events to be more involved than ‘Make a goal, and stick with it.’

Touching back on the slogan of the United Negro College Fund, imagine the opportunities that can open to you if you spend the time to get a proper education. You want to get the degree that will open doors for you. You take the time to get into your employer’s tuition reimbursement program and you work on your class work. You focus on walking down that aisle with a degree in hand. Everything becomes secondary to getting that education and opening those doors to future prosperity. This is an example of the Law of Attraction in action.

Then, the house of your dreams hits the market. It’s for sale. And because you’ve been planning and focusing on this, you qualify for the mortgage, and the owners like what you’re planning with the home. You close the deal and move in and everything you’d been focusing on, all that energy, has helped realize your goal.

You can do this. Stop just letting life happen to you, make it happen for you. Decide on a small goal at first. Clearly define that goal. Do not doubt the power of your mind and you will be amazed at what happens!

Science or Witchcraft – Is Science Magic?

History has not been kind to witchcraft. But through the past generations, we have come to respect scientific study. But it has become obvious that yesterday’s magic is today’s science. Could it be that witchcraft is considered scary, while science is taught in respected universities? I hate to bring this up, but it is possible that the fact that women practiced witchcraft that scared the common folk.

Of course, we have all heard of the biblical phrase that commands readers not to suffer a witch to live. But many modern scholars believe that was a mistranslation. After all, those words were written thousands of years ago. Nowadays many people admit the injunction was against people who practiced their arts for evil, and not those who tried to help others. Some spell casters were even presented sympathetically in other sections of the bible.

Consider The Secret book and video. It has become a media sensation with famous people endorsing it on TV. This concept, creative visualization, is not new though. It is probably the basis of ancient rituals and incantations.

Most modern spell casters will tell you that their art is mostly mental. They are aided by some actual props, but some of those have been studied. And they have proved to be effective by science.

Herbs are the basis for modern medicine too. Salicylic acid is found in the bark of some trees like the willow. Our modern term for this is aspirin. But if an herbalist brewed a tea from tree bark to help a sick person, would she be a witch? In the old days, that might have been a real concern.

Fragrant oil are also used in spells. Aromatherapy has been studied, and even scientists agree there is substance to this use. While rosemary may make us more lively, mint may tend to relax us. Is this witchcraft? Maybe, but it is also using natural plants to affect our moods and bodies. This is hardly different than drinking a cup of coffee to wake up or a warm glass of milk to fall asleep.

Scientists are just barely beginning to study the power of our minds. We can barely understand how our own grey matter works! But it is hard to dispute the power of thought and outlook in our lives.

It might have been called witchcraft in the past, but soon it may be science.

Step 2 is about focusing on the object, and feeling these thoughts leaving you. Step 3 is simple, apply concentration on seeing the desire in thought form go out into the vast universe. Then sit back with an air of expectancy. One warning though! Do not go straight for the big million to land on your doorstep, concentrate on smaller things first. Become proficient.

Networking with like-minded friends also keeps the flow of energy. Create a group where you discuss your goals and plans for achieving them. Create a plan for achieving your goal and then you have a very good chance of getting what you want. You have the mind power within to attract your highest desires.

Objects all around you and in the universe are radiating vibrations; this is also what is happening to your body and mind. You are emitting these oscillations that are taken notice of by the universe. So try to remain in an upbeat state of mind and good things will happen to you. Soon you will start to develop an innate skill at increasing these outputs as and when needed. You will then be able to use them in tandem with your thoughts when manifesting anything you desire, and in so doing will increase the chances of success. In order to shield yourself from negative vibrations, try to stay around people with similar states of mind.

Simply placing a cosmic order and muttering a few words of intent under your breath is insufficient! You must direct your thoughts to the very core of the universe, or at least feel that you are doing so. Your wishes are not going to go very far if you just think of an item and wish for it. You have to apply your mind, send out those thoughts with words, either in your head or out aloud. Then you must believe fully.

Do not constantly question why your desires have not manifested, although you should keep a vibrational connection to them. Questioning why things have not happened and negative comments should be blasted from your conscious and subconscious mind. You have sent your request out by mind power, but you cannot determine when those desires will appear in your life just by this method alone. So once you have placed a Cosmic Order to the universe then just move on to the next desire.

When you have become proficient at manifesting the smaller orders then you can move on to the bigger and more technically advanced orders. The early stages of Cosmic Ordering that you will be starting out with are enough for now, and later on you can move on to the more advanced levels which I have developed. Think lucky and you will be lucky.

Healthy Foods Becoming More Common

Healthy lifestyle trends are popping up in many areas of this country. Many restaurants are offering healthier alternatives, fast food restaurants are disclosing nutritional information and public schools are ripping out soda machines and replacing them with water machines. Attitudes toward exercise are getting more positive, diet has been replaced by the phrase “healthy lifestyle” and the word “organic” is now understood by many. America has spoken, it is time for a change of lifestyle!

Fast food restaurants such as Wendy’s and Subway were some of the first to offer substitutions for children and adults. At Wendy’s a salad can replace fries for no extra charge. For a kid’s meal, parents can order their children a fruit cup and milk instead of fries and a soda. Subway also has raisins and apples in place of chips. Other chains such as Fatburger are now using soy ban oil instead of regular vegetable oil which will reduce calories and trans fat. They will also start using the leanest beef possible in all of their burgers and they are now offering a Boca patty (soy based meatless patty) substitute for all their burgers according to prleap.com.

In past years many restaurants did not disclose their nutritional information, but after a large public out cry, fast food and sit down restaurants relented. Now the nutritional information can be found anywhere from their internet websites, pamphlets in the place, or on the actual container such as McDonald’s fries carton.

Americans not only saw a problem with the restaurant industry but in their schools as well. Consumers asked for the governments help in fighting obesity and during the 2006-2007 school year, every district in America had a goal to obtain. Soda machines, snack machine and pizza were removed from every district from preschool to high school. They have been replaced by water, fruit and a salad bar. Dietitians are defining these dieters as those who eat mainly fruits and vegetables but also eat protein but only three days per week such as chicken, lean beef and fish. The other four days a week they eat meatless meals. It is a diet which is low in saturated fat and high in fiber. Those who follow this diet have lower risk of stroke, diabetes, and heart attack.

Over the years obesity and obesity related health complications have spurred America into action. While there are consumers out there who love their triple Whoppers with mystery meat and King sized fries, they are quickly becoming the minority. Healthy living is taking over and it is here to stay!

And I don’t feel my day is complete unless we’ve made something better.

Sure there are days when so much is going on, it doesn’t leave much time for self improvement or making our business work better.

But you do have to plan for it. You have to give it focus and attention. Otherwise, all the other demands-the busyness-will crowd out making things better.

The first thing you need to look into, if you want to overcome depression, is your eating lifestyle and regimen. Keeping a healthy diet paired with regular exercise can help you improve your moods swings. Going out to grab some fresh air and to work your body out gets your mind thinking about a lot of things besides the one that keeps making you depressed. You must avoid foods that do not have any good contributions to your health. Eat foods that have long-term impact on your overall health than the fleeting and false happiness you get from junk foods.

Drinking plenty of water will also help you overcome depression. To keep your body from breaking down, you need to provide it with the right fuel. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water is just as important, if not more, as eating healthy foods. If you don’t drink enough water you’ll dehydrate and it will only fire up the feeling of being depressed.

One of the most important things that a person must do if hes suffering from depression is to get adequate sleep. Although, you will find it difficult to sleep at night, it is important that you maintain a permanent bedtime to train your body to rest when its time for you to go to bed. A person who doesn’t get enough sleep has the tendency to become irritable the following day. Keeping this kind of routine each day does nothing to help you overcome depression. When you find it hard to sleep at night, you can try soaking in a bath or walking around your block to help you clear off your mind and you’d be able to sleep soundly.

The support of your loved ones is a huge factor when you’re trying to overcome depression. They can make it easy for you to face the challenges brought on by depression. Without their support and understanding, you would find it going through the day. It must be them that should lend you a helping hand to get out of depression.

You must also have faith in yourself and make a decision to overcome depression. If there are things that you wish to do, then do it if it can help your situation gets better.
